I have also been a faculty member for the past 10 years, providing financial education on budgeting, asset allocation, women’s financial issues, and retirement planning. I have been in the financial services area for a total of 36 years. Before I started working with clients, I was a product manager at MetLife helping design retirement products and train financial professionals to educate their clients.
Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) is a distinguished designation that involves nine main areas of concentration. Courses focus on financial planning, covering topics like investing, insurance planning and retirement planning. There are also courses that focus on planning with different types clients, such as divorcees or special needs families. I completed my course of study March 2017.
Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), This designation addresses those who are at or near retirement build a plan to ensure they meet their retirement income and other financial goals throughout their nonworking years and manage the many risks they may face. As coordinated planning and better decision making can improve retirement security, retirement income planning is a very rewarding area within financial planning. I completed my course of study in October 2019.
Certification in Long-Term Care( CLTC® ) focuses on the discipline of extended care planning. It provides me with the ability to discuss longevity and its consequences on families and finances. I have been able to help client and their families develop a plan.
